Wednesday.
Just as the sun was setting, I went for a quick little walk around campus to take a few pictures for this here blog. I found myself near Guggenheim and I decided there was potential for a photo. I've seen professional pictures taken of Guggenheim before, but they usually focus on the front of the building and they usually try and frame the whole building, I thought that this shot brought a different perspective to the building.
Thursday.
Thursday was an absolutely beautiful day in Golden; my friend Jacob asked if I wanted to set up a slackline on campus, so I tagged along. When we got down to Kafadar Commons, we noticed a few individuals who had the same idea. I took this picture of Mickey as he was throwing a sick backflip on his line. I thought this picture was pretty epic and it needed to be posted.
Friday.
On Friday, my friend Marty and I decided to go for a gander to downtown Golden. We stopped by Bent Gate because Marty was looking at getting some climbing shoes. I snagged this picture while I meandered around the store.
After the Bent Gate, we wandered over to the American Mountaineering Museum and took a look around. In my three years of living in Golden, I had never been to the museum and it was crazy interesting. After looking around the museum, we decided it was time to head over to our favorite spot in all of downtown Golden: The Ace Hi Tavern. We called up our buddy Jacob and stopped in for a beer. I snagged this picture of Jacob and Marty just being the good friends that they are.
After a great time at the Ace, we headed out the back door and on towards home. This next picture is pretty rad.
Saturday.
On Saturday, my fellow colleague, Kyle Quintero, and I took our floors to the shooting range as an educational program. As Resident Assistants, part of our job means that we have to create these fun programs for our residents to attend. We talked to the shooting club on campus and got them to take us out to the shooting range and learn us about gun safety. They had an arrangement of guns; everything from pistols to shotguns to rifles. The following picture is Ameen shooting a shotgun.
This next one is a picture of the AR-15 that they had. It was a really fun rifle to shoot.
I really enjoyed this next picture because it both showed Justin, the shooter, and his target down range. I thought it was pretty neat.
Sunday.
Today the light outside kind of sucked because it was all cloudy and snowy and things and with that added to my homework, I just didn't have any time to get a picture for today. Hopefully I'll have better luck next Sunday.
Monday.
Today I was super busy running around trying to find a place to live this summer. Hopefully I found something; unfortunately, again, I didn't have time to take any pictures.
Tuesday.
Today was a pretty good day. On my way to get some lunch after my last class of the day, my friend Peter drove by and asked if I wanted to join him at the old Golden City Brewery for a brew. Obviously I said yes. It was a nice relaxing afternoon catching up with some friends and having a great time. Today's picture, however, does not stem from this afternoon, but it is instead a picture I took in order to procrastinate working on a compiler for my Elements of Computing Systems class. All there is to this picture is a backlit Nikkor 50mm lens. I thought it was pretty neat.
Well, see you next week!
