Backyard Birding

I've been meaning to catch up on my photos since our trip to Europe, but it always takes more time than I hope to get something new out there.

This time around, I'm deploying all my photos to a totally new blog. I'm using Jekyll and a build-it-yourself mentality and slowly migrating off my old wordpress site. This will be the new home of my photo blog going forward, I'm going to direct traffic to blog.chadmckenna.me heading forward and eventually spinning down my wordpress blog

This first set of photos are extremely mediocre, but a Golden Eagle found its way into my neighbors tree and I wanted some proof that it happened.

First Snow of the Year

We bought a place up near Salida and have been spending tons of time up in the mountains. In September, we got our first snow of the year and since we were feeling a bit under the weather, we decided a road trip around BV and CB to snap some photos would be a relaxing way to spend the day.

Moab, Utah

I went out to Moab to ride bikes for a friends 50th, these are a few shots from our campground. We also got out and rode the Whole Enchilada with the new Raptor trails. Also, we jumped out of an airplane before heading home (sadly, no photos from this event).

Montana

My Grandmother passed away this Fall.

While in Great Falls for her funeral, we saw a crazy sunset from our hotel. I didn't touch saturation or vibrance on this photo, it was just that orange.

Skining up Monarch

I brought my camera skining up Monarch over Christmas break, the morning light is always so amazing.

On our drive into Buena Vista we stopped to enjoy the last light of the sun setting over the collegiates.
